Hello + Welcome!

MY SERVICES

Your website is the front door of your business. It tells clients what they can expect when they book you and a confusing website is not the impression you want to leave. Changing these 7 things on your website will have you well on your way to booking those dream clients.

  1. Location. Location. Location.

Your location is going to be one of the first things couples look for on your website. If you are based in one city and open for travel, you can clearly say this on your site too. If your location is difficult to find, they are more likely to just move on to the next website, so it should be clearly stated on your home page and not just on your about page.

Here are a few of suggestions for how you can display your location on your website:

  • Raleigh Wedding Planner
  • Wedding Videographer Based in Raleigh, NC. Available for travel.
  • Wedding Photographer documenting love in NC, SC and beyond.
  1. Clear Navigation

Ensure your website is easy to navigate with a clear menu and logical structure. Visitors should be able to find what they need quickly. The 5 basic pages that every wedding pro should have on their website are Home, About, Services, Portfolio, and Contact. If you have a blog, be sure to include that in your navigation too.

  1. Mobile Responsiveness

Did you know that nearly 80% of people access the internet via mobile devices? We have all been to a website on our phone that just didn’t work. Either the text was super small or the page didn’t scroll. And what did we do…We left. You don’t want your ideal clients to leave because they couldn’t access your website on their mobile device. Make sure your site is mobile responsive.

  1. Fast Load Times

No one wants to spend time waiting on a slow website. You can increase your website speed by optimizing your images, and other elements to ensure your site loads quickly.

  1. Contact Form

Include an easy-to-use form on your contact page that links to your CRM or sends you an email directly. This form should be no more than 5-7 fields that a client can fill out quickly. Simplicity is better for now, you can get all the nitty gritty details about their wedding during the consultation.

  1. FAQ Section

Every wedding pro has those same questions that they are asked over and over:

  • “How long does it take you to edit our photos?”
  • “Do you take on more that one wedding a day?”
  • “Do you do destination weddings?”

Including a comprehensive FAQ section on your website will help answer many of the clients questions before they even ask them. And it will show how experienced you are and make it very clear that this isn’t your first rodeo.

  1. Include Testimonials

Client testimonials can serve a few purposes in your business. First they will create social proof for prospective couples to see on your website that will help them build trust with you. Secondly, getting good testimonials will really help you understand what makes you unique as a wedding vendor. Our clients often see things in us that we would have never seen in ourselves. Having this insight on what makes you unique will help you realize that you don’t have as much competition as you think. Click here to download my Client testimonial questionnaire that features strategic questions that you can send to past clients to get clear on WHY they chose you and why future dream clients should choose you too!

By making these 7 simple website changes you will be well on your way to creating a website that not only attracts but also retains your dream clients, ultimately driving the success of your wedding business.
