10 years ago, I was 2 years into running my wedding videography and photography business with my husband and we were struggling to stand out in our market and attract our dream clients. Our website and branding did not reflect our unique value and the few leads we had were more focused on budget than on the quality of our work. I found myself compromising and undervaluing our services just to secure bookings.
I realized listening to our dream couples was the key to booking MORE dream couples.
Early in our business, we had two amazing couples who loved working with us. We asked to pick their brains to find out everything they were thinking when they booked us and discovered they appreciated things we didn’t even realize we were doing!
We thought every photo/video team worked like us, but our dream couples revealed what made us unique. Using their feedback, we crafted a brand that spoke directly to amazing couples like them. Soon, our calendar was filled with dream clients that wanted to work with us, some even changing their wedding dates because they didn't want to work with anyone else!
Fast forward 10 years and nearly 200 weddings later, I pivoted from wedding photography to helping business owners that are in the same place I was 10 years ago, trying to figure it all out on their own.
